My work finally came home from a recent exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. I was completely amazed by the amount of work in the exhibit and more importantly, the amount of talent. My piece is the red one in the center.

Large gum drops

I love how these turned out--I'm actually bummed to let them go. The large gum drops were a commission and based on a much smaller painting. I worked through these with about five sessions of painting. It was a little more difficult than I had planned since the set-up was dependent on daylight and we now have a lot less of it here in Minnesota. Very happy with this painting!

Time to Paint!

After several sessions in charcoal, next week, I'll transfer this drawing and start working on a painting portrait!
